At the start of a new year, it might seem like everyone is radiating hope and positivity. I have lost count of how many times I’ve heard someone say, “2024 is going to be so much better than 2023,” in the last few weeks.
In the blink of an eye, another year has almost come and gone! As we take on the last few weeks of 2023, December feels like the perfect time for reflection. It’s both the end of a chapter and the start of something new (especially for me, since I will be marking another trip around the sun on December 22).
Los Angeles is huge, often unpredictable, and at times, chaotic. It’s the kind of city where you learn to adapt quickly and moving into (or within) this city can feel overwhelming.
To thrive in Los Angeles, it helps to have a plan.

Sitting in an ugly, cramped office or a room at home is just about the easiest way to send yourself running to your favorite websites hoping to make the workday pass faster.
Getting things done brings such a great feeling of accomplishment, but it can also be overwhelming if the task seems insurmountable. Sometimes, the days just don’t seem long enough to do everything we want to do. When that happens, worry can set in, but it doesn’t have to!

Many of you might not know this, but I tripped unloading the car.
My job takes me to a lot of different cities throughout LA. Today my heart broke a little when I pulled up to a Public Storage facility in Hollywood to unload a storage unit for a client who was moving into a beautiful craftsman home.
I hadn’t intended to write about inequality in only my second blog (or at all really) but it matters to me. It really matters to me, and this is what my message is truly about. What Really Matters.
